WANT TO DISCOVER SOME HIDDEN PLACES AROUND THE ATHENS GULF?
A boat cruise along the Athenian Riviera is an unforgettable experience and an easy way to explore some significant sites and nice seaside settlements. There are several uninhabited islands, remote beaches in the gulf which are reachable only by boats.
On a boat excursion, you can visit remote ancient Greek temples, quaint fishing villages and swim, SUP or snorkel in pristine bays.
Perhaps the easiest and most flexible way to explore the Athens coastline is to hop on a RIB ( Rigid Inflatable Boat).
WHAT IS A RIB?
Rigid- inflatable boats (RIBs) are lightweight, high-performance and high-capacity unsinkable boats that are constructed with a rigid hull bottom and inflatable tubes around the outer edge.
So RIBs are great fun, very fast and versatile- able to reach places which other types of boats can’t.
HALF-DAY BOAT TOUR AROUND THE ATHENS GULF
Swim at the bay of Sounio under the temple of Poseidon and watch the sunset.

The Sounio boat tour is one of the best ways to explore the breathtaking south coast of Athens.
Based on your choice you can start our journey from Glyfada (the most popular town on the south coast of Athens) or from Anavyssos – a picturesque little seaside settlement, around 40 minutes drive from Athens.
Highlights of the Athens Riviera RIB boat tour

PATROKLOS ISLAND
A small, private island close to Lavrio port and Cape Sounion. The island has currently 4 houses. This romantic place has an untouched atmosphere, something that you can’t experience too often.
You can explore the large sandy beaches, swim in the crystal clear sea and cruise around on a SUP.

ARSIDA CAVE
Arsida is an uninhabited island 15 minutes from the Athenian coastline.
You will have the opportunity to explore the mysterious cave of Arsida that is accessible only by boat, using an SUP (Stand-up Paddleboards) or by snorkeling (equipment is provided by the organisers).

CAPE SOUNIO AND THE TEMPLE OF POSEIDON
Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon is perhaps the most popular historical site on the Athenian riviera.
In the old times Cape Sounion (the southernmost part of the Attika peninsula) was a significant strategic point. It was a fortified settlement, where the city-state of Athens controlled the sea passage to the Aegean Sea.
You will pass by Cape Sounion and will have time to admire the Temple of Poseidon (built around 444–440 BC) – one of the major monuments from the Golden Age of Athens.
