Please read these booking and cancellation terms and conditions carefully together with some specific information about your confirmed service with GreekCompass (referred here as “we”, “the Company”). Making a booking with the GreekCompass automatically means accepting the below Terms and Conditions.
Important note: All activities included in the package you booked are subject to weather conditions. Neither any of the organisers nor the GreekCompass can be held responsible in case of any bad weather conditions.

COVID19 SPECIFIC TERMS
All information is current for this month and is updated regularly following Greek Government Legislation in response to the pandemic.
We are closely following all the latest updates and monitoring the global pandemic situation both in Greece and abroad.
Our priority is that you have a safe and unique experience, that all health and safety standards are adhered to.
We abide by the World Health Organization, EU and Greece Coronavirus guidelines and provide Enhanced On-site Covid-19 operations standard, including:
- Staff Covid-19 training and daily health check
- Cleaning staff access to and use of gloves and masks
- Cleaning and disinfecting
- Enhanced cleaning and frequent use of sanitisers (upon allergies confirmation)
The Greek government website Protocol for Arrivals in and Departures from Greece has all the relevant latest information you need for travel to and from here. Also make sure to check the governmental rules and regulation to travel to Greece from your own country.
2021 Flexible Booking Policy due to COVID19 related reasons
We have also implemented a new booking policy to make sure you don’t miss the chance to book a service with us.
All the services are fully refundable, or you have the flexibility to change booking dates, only on the event of an official travel ban due to the Covid-19 pandemic between the guests’ country and Greece on the arranged booking dates. This case the guests are entitled to a Credit Voucher equal to their payment (which they can use for a future reservation) / or full refund of any payment transferred to our company. COVID-19: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Please note that we will have no liability for any refunds, compensation, costs, expenses, or other losses of any kind incurred by you (including, where applicable, the cost of medical treatment), in the following circumstances:
- If you or any of your traveling companion test positive to COVID19 whilst you are on your stay in Greece, please notify us without delay and we will provide such reasonable assistance as we can in the circumstances. However, we will not be responsible for covering the cost of any missed transport arrangements, service required, or other associated costs incurred by you. You must ensure you have travel insurance which covers these costs for you.
- You fail any tests, checks or other measures imposed by a supplier, airline, port or airport, border control authority or other government body or local authority or fail to submit for testing or assessment when requested to do so, and as such you are denied entry to board the flight/ferry/sailing boat, entry to the destination, access to the services or you are otherwise unable to proceed with the booked service.
2. MAKING A BOOKING AND PAYMENT:
When you have chosen your service and you make a request to us to book it, you must pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the full cost of the booking.
When you pay for your service by credit or debit card, no surcharge is payable except in the following circumstances:
Where either you or your payment service provider is located outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where you pay for your booking using a commercial debit or credit card. In these circumstances, we reserve the right to levy a 2.0% handling charge for each payment made by these means.
Your booking is confirmed when we issue our confirmation email to you.
Booking will not be confirmed until your booking has been paid for in full.
Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport. If you have paid a deposit, the balance of the cost of your service is due 2 days before you obtain the service.
If it is not received in time, we have the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
3. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR BOOKING:
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:
He/she has read these terms and conditions and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them.
He/she consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
He/she is over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions, declares that he/she and all members of the party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services.
He/she accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.
He/she notifies us if any changes or cancellations are required and for receiving the confirmation and keeping your party informed.
4. YOUR SERVICE:
This is reserved exclusively for the people named on your confirmation/invoice and no other persons are permitted to obtain the service. Any change in terms of the participants must be agreed with us in writing (if applicable).
5. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR BOOKING:
If you wish to change your arrangements in any way after it has been confirmed, we will do our utmost to make these changes, but it may not always be possible.
To make the change request, please contact us via WhatsApp/ Email as soon as possible.
Where we can meet a request, changes can be subject to increased costs of the selected service as a result of applicable rate changes (seasonal rates).
In the unfortunate event if the change can’t be made (no availability) we will do our best to find you a similar service at a similar rate.
Any changes you make within 14 days before you obtain the service, offered under these terms, will be treated as a cancellation and we are not obliged to provide any optional solutions (however we will do our best to accommodate your needs).
6. IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING:
Once your booking has been confirmed, to cancel the booking, the person who made the booking must contact us.
To make the cancellation request, please contact us via WhatsApp/ Email as soon as possible.
Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your request. The refund will be calculated as follows after receipt of the written request of withdrawal:
- Up to the 120th day before departure, 10% of the travel price
- from 119 to 90 days before departure 20% of the travel price
- from the 89th to the 30th day before departure, 40% of the travel price
- from the 29th to the 15th day before departure, 60% of the travel price
- from the 14th to the 1st day before departure, 80% of the travel price
- Cancellation on the day of travel or no-show for the package tour: 90% of the travel price
No refunds will be given for passengers not travelling or for unused services.
7. DAMAGE DURING YOUR TRIP
If you or any member of your party cause any damage during obtaining any service you and/or your party will be required to pay for the loss and/or damage caused, and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually responsible.
Unless the damage was caused accidentally and results in losses below €100, full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to the service owner or other supplier immediately.
When you book service through us, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of all members of your party.
We reserve the right at any time to terminate the service provided if you or any party member(s) whose behavior is such, in the reasonable opinion of the service provider, a person in authority or us, as to cause or to be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to anyone else or damage to the boat/yacht or any instruments used during the service.
Full cancellation charges will then apply, and no refund will be given.
Furthermore, we shall be under no obligation whatsoever to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses (including but not limited to alternative service) that may occur as a result of your booked service being terminated.
Subject to clause 7, you and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions, and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to the service owner immediately. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you. We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behavior of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us.
